Watching for the End Times
In Mark 13:1-37, Jesus confronts two erroneous viewpoints regarding His Second Coming, "End Times Fever" and "End Times Indifference". We must watch and live our lives in a state of readiness - not feverishly and not indifferently.

Highlights on Bible Prophecy
Why bother trying to fix the economy if Jesus is coming back soon? Why try to change the culture? Gary reviews the mission of dispensational, pre-millennial, end-times advocates. Considering the impact of popular pre-millennial end-times books, authors, and speakers, Gary argues Christians have been giving up the good fight since they anticipate Jesus's coming any moment. Yet, taking a Biblical view of prophetic events throughout the scriptures, Gary is able to shed light on the fulfillment of most prophetic events. "If Christians believe in a soon coming of Christ, then we will deepen he crisis situation we are in today even further."

Conflict and Community: Predicting the End
Jesus pronounces judgment on the religious leaders of his day and those who follow them by predicting the destruction of the Temple and the city of Jerusalem. In his prediction, we see how he borrows imagery from the Old Testament and we learn how to interpret cosmological signs in Scripture. Before the coming destruction, Jesus also predicts an intense period of suffering for his people. In this, he gives us both instruction and promises that will strengthen us in our trials and enable us to be a blessing to others.

What In The World Is Going On?
What In The World Is Going On? Selected Scriptures In light of current global events, are we seeing signs today that something different is going on? Our world is in an uproar and we have been commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to discern the times (Luke 12:54-56). As we near the end of the post-resurrection age, and the world as we now know it, we should evaluate the Scriptures and attempt to understand prophecy of the coming of Christ. Our only reliable source of information in these turbulent times, and our only reliable standard of discernment, is the Bible. Did you know that over one third of the Bible talks about the end times? As such, we should be aware of the events that develop in our times, for the return of Christ draws near (Matthew 24:32-41). There are three questions about the end of the world that should help us to understand what to expect regarding end times events to come. 1) What nations will probably be involved? 2) What is the natural understanding of the events of End-Time prophecy? and 3) What do we need to do in response to the message given throughout the Bible concerning the End Times?
