Does the Cross Have Power for You? God is out to reject the wisdom of this world (Verse 19) 1. He will dystroy their wisdom and frustrate their intelligence. God gets great pleasure from what the world calls “foolish preaching.†(Verse 20-25) 1. People are actually getting saved and the power and wisdom of God is changing them! Listen to the refreshing wisdom of God (Verses 26-30) 1. God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. 2. God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 3. God chose the lowly things of this world and the “despised nobodies†to nullify the "somebody’s.†WHY (verses 17, 29, 31) So that the cross of Christ won’t be emptied of its power So that we know better than to personally boast before Him! So that we will only boast in the Lord
