Pursuing the Prize!
In our text last week Paul spoke of the magnificent pursuit of the Christian life ... like a runner in a race, Paul is focused ... his gaze; his aim; his goal; all well defined; he permits nothing to divert him from who he is in Christ. This One Thing I Do. How did you do with that this week? Any words come out of your mouth that if you had turned and seen the gaze of Christ upon you ... would have crushed you? How did you treat your spouse ... your boss; your employees; your neighbor? Paul says in today's text this attitude; this goal of this one thing I do ... is shared by all Christians.
