Today, we consider Jesus' statement, "I am the resurrection and the life." As Jesus resurrects Lazarus from the dead, this is a pointer to his own resurrection from death on the cross. The implications of Easter are life altering and profound. How does the hope of the resurrection impact your life today?
Evidence for the bodily and literal resurrection of Jesus Christ abounds, even to the point of frustrating the plans of skeptics who set out to disprove it and causing many of them to believe. This teaching begins by exploring some of that evidence, and ends by proclaiming the Gospel in its purest form.
Preacher: Pastor Tony Simpson. The resurrection is part of the good news of Jesus Christ and therefore is vital to the gospel message. Jesus' resurrection was foretold in the Old Testament and was witnessed by hundreds of people and so is beyond any doubt.
Believing in the resurrection of Jesus takes faith, but not as much as not believing.
Can a person be a Christian and have doubts? Do we doubt that Jesus Christ can make a difference in our lives and the lives of those around us? We have spent the last six weeks covering the evidence for the creator and for the savior. We will find this morning that many times our doubts come from building our foundation on other things then the rock of Jesus Christ.
Is there evidence for the resurrection of Christ? This morning we are going to find out that Jesus told his disciples he was going to rise, the pharisees knew Jesus had said he would rise from the grave, and the behavior of the guards and the disciples shows that he did just that. This morning we are going to find out there is evidence for the resurrection.
