The Philippian Principles_The Principle of Self Confidence
The Philippian Principles - 3 Truths that can transform your life Series - Part 1, The Principle of Self Confidence reveals that we have to praise God ourselves, instead of waiting for someone else to do it for us because self confidence starts from within. Referencing the biblical passage from Philippians 4:12-19 we learn that there are three insights that we have to practice in order to face the challenges of today because possibilities are unlimited when Christ is in the mix: Insight #1 - I am Important to the plan of God; 2 - Minimal Resources will not minimize my resourcefulness; and #3 - My future expectation is not crippled by my present condition.
What do you expect
God has a plan, a vision, for how the world ought to be. He started it in the Garden in a loving relationship with the first human beings and he has never changed his mind. So, what if the crowd got it wrong about Jesus on that day when he rode into Jerusalem? What if they had completely inaccurate expectations of what Jesus was going to do?
In the Right Place at the Right Time
On this day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey; when the people heard he was coming they lined the path with branches from palm trees, a sign of honor. Many came to see Jesus but also to see Lazarus who they knew had been brought back from the dead.
What Should You Expect?
What Should You Expect from Church? How about this church? We spent this sunday talking about what the Bible tells us is the vision and mission of the church.
What are you waiting for?
Maybe it was our 15th year, or our 47th year, or your 93rd year; when FDR or Eisenhower or Reagan or Clinton was president; when Brown or Brown or Brown again was governor, but some of us remember when the Word of God came into our wilderness. Some of us are still there waiting.
It's Getting Ready To Rain
Our stebacks are just God's setups for blessings. Just hold on to your faith; hold on just a little while longer. God is about to open up the floodgates of Heaven and it is about to rain on God's people.
