What Does the Holy Spirit Do?
While I am truly ecstatic regarding all of the above I am mindful that we alone are incapable of saving a life or even drawing somebody to Christ, this is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We can work ever so hard, give so much of our time and money but, if the Holy Spirit is not engaged nothing of significance will ever be accomplished. A heart cannot be wonderfully warmed for Christ without the Holy Spirit for it is the Holy Spirit that points the person to Christ.

Perserance
The people of the New Testament could not just change churches that would comfort them. They just made the church they were in work. Purpose drove thr early Christians not personality in building the church.God sees people more important than possessions. We follow and come to Jesus because he is The Great and Only Savior.

What To Do With Our Tears
So what do we do with our tears? How are we to handle our grief and sorrow? What can help us when our souls are so sorrowful that they bleed tears? Psalms 126 and 39 will help us to know how to understand our tears as well as how to practice emotional honesty before a God who well understands our tears, understands our pain, and understands what it feels like to cry out in agony. Jesus received our rejection. Jesus experienced the pain of loss. Jesus experienced the sorrow and alienation our sins deserved.

The Witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16-17)
The pillar of our security and assurance in our salvation is the gospel. Do you know, understand and believe the gospel? Are you actively and persistently putting your faith in Christ? Here is your primary assurance that you belong to Christ. In addition to this primary means of assurance, we may also draw assurance from the fact that the gospel and word and Spirit are at work in our lives producing the fruit of the Spirit; and from our experience of God's peace and comfort and nearness in the Spirit.

So What?!
We can learn Christology, we can hear testimonies, but we don’t really understand it for ourselves until something in our experience confirms it in our heart and soul and mind. Does the work of our church reflect a good understanding of discipleship?

Gifts
We admit it. We have an agenda: we want you to join the church. All believers in Jesus in every time and place are members of the universal church, but committing to a local church is a vital part of the spiritual life for every Christ-follower. In our teaching series, CHURCH 101, we are taking several weeks to describe the foundational commitments of church membership. Our members are those who have accepted the mission of helping others become passionate followers of Jesus through the ministry and community of this church. Over the next few weeks, we will discuss what that means as we explore practically how we can live for Jesus as a part of His church.
