The pursuit of the divine nature
After faith, how is a believer supposed to live? Go to church? Bible Study? The transformation is worked by the Holy Spirit but our involvement is crucial and necessary. Peter encourages ancient believers to add to their faith certain ingredients to make the Spirit's work effective in their lives. How we look at this instruction will define what we in the modern day become and accomplish in Christ.

Live Your Faith
An honest person will admit that every religion or set of beliefs has its hypocrites. The interesting thing is the Bible itself, the heart of Christian teaching, has always acknowledged the problem of hypocrisy and inconsistency in the church. But the answer, according to the Bible, is not less Christianity but deeper Christianity, authentic Christianity. When Martin Luther King Jr. confronted the hypocrisy of racism in the church he didn't call for less Christianity but a more authentic, truer, deeper Christianity. That's the same thing we see in the book of James. This passage has something to say to all of us about what it means to have a faith that is real and alive.

Be Patient in Prayer
The book of James is basic, entry-level, in-your-face Christianity. A real workout. Nothing fancy. No glamor-cize at the club. Just crunches, push-ups, and heavy bag work in a smelly basement gym. If you are up to the challenge, James will shape you into a hard-body believer. During this series, Fit Faith, we’ll tackle some of the most practical teaching outside of the gospels. James was known as "James the Just", someone who put his faith into practice in a real and practical way. James will stretch us to grasp the importance of putting our faith into action as described in God's word. Are you ready to get fit?

Eyes Fixed on Jesus: Lessons from the Pilgrims
The Pilgrims were motivated by an abiding desire to reform their lives in light of God's Word. Their journey to Plymouth and survival of their first New England winter against all odds set the backdrop for their own time of Thanksgiving - a celebration that we carry on even today. They are an inspiring example of life lived with eyes fixed on Jesus.

(Romans 8:16 KJV) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (Romans 8:17 KJV) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Your Best Life Now?
How do you define sucess? How do you determine if someone is living their best life now? Wrong question. The church must once again ask themselves, "How does God define success?" From Hebrews 11:24-27, Pastor Jeremy teaches the secret to success in living before God and it's a faith that looks beyond the temporary - the temporary positions of influence, the temporary pleasures of sin, the temporary possesions of the world, and the temporary people of power.
