Welcome to the Revolution, pt. 7
It has been aptly said that many people miss the miraculous because they are seeking after the spectacular. In this seventh teaching in the Welcome to the Revolution series, Pastor Andy tackles the issue of re-defining worship and what true spirituality is supposed to be. In a world of fast tood restaurants and entertainment choices galore, many Christians have become consumers in the church as well and expect their character transformations to be quick and painless, and thus they gravitate to super-charged revival meetings in attempts to feel "touched" from God. Pastor Andy shows that God's PRIMARY method of character transformation is application of the Word of God in their day-to-day activities, lived out every day over long periods of time through failures, pressures, and mundane living when there are no emotions involved. This is a must-hear teaching especially for those who have been raised in charismatic circles.
Listen to the Law!, Part 5
In Galatians 4:21-31, Paul appeals to the analogy of Hagar and Sarah to illustrate how those who rely on self-effort end up in sin and bondage whereas those who trust in God’s promise receive salvation and freedom.
