Sermons about Faithfulness
Series: Preparing for What's Ahead (Part 5) – In this fifth sermon in the series, we will be moving from apocalyptic and prophetic Scriptures to a portion of narrative from Numbers 13 and 14 that will serve as an example of faithfulness in the face of overwhelming disbelief and unfaithfulness. Caleb and Joshua serve as illustrative examples of why it is that those faithful to God go through difficult times with those who choose to turn away from God. You will learn one of the most important things you can do to serve God faithfully as ever more difficult days come. Finally, you will receive step-by-step instructions that will provide you with you a way to join with a growing number of Christians who desire to be of the greatest use to God in the fulfillment of God's sovereign purposes and plans.
In his letter to Titus, Paul gives specific instructions to 5 different groups in the church. His theme to all of them is the same: to live "Sophron" lives. What is "Sophron" and why do we need it?
Joseph rises through the ranks to become a honored employee in the home of Potiphar. And then he is cast into prison by the false testimony of the boss's wife. What could Joseph have been thinking? What did he learn? How does Joseph get it right when all the others had gotten it so wrong? What can we learn by looking at his life?

- God has commanded us to draw near to Him. - God has commanded us to hold fast to Him. - God has commanded us to provoke faithfulness in each other.
How is a Christ-follower to engage a culture that is increasingly hostile to Jesus? What do we do when we vehemently disagree with the Government and the society around us?
Imagine a culture that is in love with itself; a culture that pursues wealth and pleasure at all costs. Now place in that culture two predominant types of Christians: one that is trying to impose all kinds of rules on its people and one that is indistinguishable from the world around them. Does this culture sound familiar? You guessed it: it's the ancient Island of Crete. But it could be us, couldn't it? And just like the Island of Crete, we are called to live a lifestyle that is neither legalistic nor ungodly.
As Pastor Matt Smith preaches through Mark chapter 14, we see that Jesus remains faithful even when we are not. Jesus knew he would be betrayed, but he remained faithful until the end, knowing he needed to endure the cross. We must trust in His faithfulness and thank Him constantly for always being faithful.
