The Parable of the Forgiving Father (Morning Service)
The prodigal son represents all sinners. He is the poster child of sinners. He is the definition of a sinner. He is someone who takes what belongs to God and what is given to him by God and following the natural inclination of his own heart runs as far away from God as he can. This is us, this is our likeness. We are naturally bent to do whatever seems good to us, whatever brings us the most happiness or pleasure. We want to live for ourselves and have as little to do with God as possible.
God's Way Of Being A Dad
God has given me an indescribable powerful influence upon my children and in that influence, commands me to live my life defined by the Word of God! Defined by the Word of God rather than just influenced by the Word of God, I create desire in my children to leave no doubt whose they are and what they are for -- the Lord's!
One with _______
This audio file begins with an update regarding our trip to Africa (leaving tomorrow). Then the sermon could be considered part four of the message which has been flowing from On-High. I don't know if I've ever felt so discombobulated through the delivery of a message! Even as I prepared for the sermon demonic interference was evident to me ("Thank You God for eyes to see!"). Let me just testify, however, that my morning e-devotion this morning was 2 Cor. 12:7 which says, in essence, that sometimes difficulty is allowed in our lives by our Loving Father for our own good...as a counterbalance to keep us. So, I don't really understand all the ins and outs of seeing what I saw before service or feeling so out of sync during the message but I do know that I know that I know through the weaknesses of believers God's strength is made apparent. HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! And that's what I want, God's strength to be seen in the earth through His grace extended to mankind. Therefore, despite myself, to the glory of God I share last night's message with you and pray for you to hear/see God. 52 minutes
