Awakening a hunger for God is alot like starting over, back to the time where a person first felt the Holy Ghost. where they were filled with God's vision of the future. a future where people were saved and an amazing change started to spread within the world. where God used his people in amazing ways. But maybe, after that first experience, people lose there fire. that hunger for god that drives them forward. Or maybe God's vision for their future seemed too much and they grew content with just living life as it was.

Facing our Giants, Part 1 - Fear
We are not in control of our lives. And that is good news. Therefore we can cease from wearing ourselves out trying to control what we simply cannot. The offer of Jesus is to live at rest while we engage in our lives instead of frantically stressing over what escapes our influence. When Jesus walks on water he demonstrates and articulates the fact the gives us this rest: Jesus is in control of our lives and this world. We learn in the passage what Jesus is in control of and why we can trust that he is in control.
We often become comfortable with the way that the world works. Are our hearts truly dependant on God to sustain us? Will we truly shout for joy when the way of the world is done away?
Here we look in upon the answer Abram recieved. We see that it was after much prayer, in God's appointed time and how it was "The Word of the Lord. And we see how this applies to each and every child of God today, to me and to you as we live our lives to the glory of God.
We live in a nation that is divided not only politically, but philosophically and theologically. A new atheism has emerged that is loud, activist, and desperately opposed to faith, especially Christianity. Christians are like wise growing loud and angry toward atheists. What is driving all this anger and fear between the two? It all boils down to a struggle over boundaries. But, only one position can ultimately triumph. Find out why.
