Relentless Search
Psalm 139 is a great passage in that it not only tells us much about the nature of God (i.e. He is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent), but it also shows us that He is relentless in His search for people because He has a matchless love and care for His creation. Psalm 139 reminds us that long before we began our search for God, He was already searching for us. God's first words to man in the garden were not, "what did you do wrong" or "I'm gonna get you for that" - His first words were "Where are you?". God is on a relentless search because He desires relationship with His people. The fact that God knows every little detail about David's life doesn't terrify him but brings him great comfort and peace. You need to know that God's infinite knowledge, presence, and power is with you throughout the vicissitudes of life and no matter what life throws at you, He loves you, is concerned about you, and is always with you.
