Distractions...Breaking Through To God
Lucy, the youngest of the four Pavensic children, upon their return to the world of Narnia, tries to convince her siblings that Aslan (God) is there amongst them. The problem is that everybody around her is focused in on the task at hand, defeating the evil Telmarines. After much persistence, Lucy convinces the others of the urgent need to break through to Aslan (God) and seek Him out for help and victory over the enemy. Finally, Lucy makes the great breakthrough (prayer) to Aslan (God), and the events and outcome quickly begin to change as Aslan (God) demonstrates His amazing and mighty power.

Philosophy
The Ridge Church lives to glorify God – loving Jesus, loving people and seeing lives transformed to live for Jesus. We have been called to live this out globally and locally (the mission) and we have essential beliefs as we move down the highway of life, that we hold dear to, so we do not get off focus and fall away. To help us stay focused and on mission we must have a system of values and principles by which we live and function by as a church, a philosophy - in ministry it is important to have the right mindset and attitude toward how things should be done.

Caracteristicas de la Adoracion/Worship
La adoracion significativa es una que nos vaciamos, no se trata de nosotros y lo que recibimos sino lo que damos. True worship is one in which we empty ourselves, is not about us and one in which we are more concerned with giving instead of receiving.

Focus
Have you ever wondered about these questions: What the church lives for, why it exists or what its focus is? What is essential to the church? What philosophy does the church have when it comes to ministry? What is the mission of the church? Through the month of April we will look at our church's focus, essentials, philosophy and mission. We pray during these messages you would join us in committing to the mission, recommit to the mission or watch and learn what the mission means. Today we look at God's focus and how he wants us to align our lives with that focus.

The Power of Focus
You will only have real spiritual growth in life by learning the power of focus. To achieve what God wants for you – you must be a person of focus. In 2 Timothy 2 Paul is writing to Timothy in a jail cell and he is telling him how to be a focused, growing disciple. He gives him three illustrations to teach him how to use the power of focus.

How Does Your Garden Grow?
How critical is it that we weed out all the evil in the world around us? So much of the political agenda of the evangelical church seems to be the opposition of evil. This is not all bad, but should it be our main agenda? Jesus seems to calm his disciples' fears about all the evil in the world by simply acknowledging that the weeds grow alongside the wheat. The prudent farmer doesn't worry about ripping out the weeds - but about growing healthy wheat. On the harvest day, the good and bad will be separated. In the meanwhile, our focus is to be on growing the good! Key Passage: Matthew 13:24-30, 47-50
