It's a New Day (Vision Sunday)
Today is an important day in the church calendar at College Park. We call it Vision Sunday which basically means it is an opportunity for me to share my heart with you regarding where we are headed next year, and an opportunity for our members to vote on our annual budget. It is fitting for us to be in a text that talks about newness so clearly and powerfully. So let’s take a look at Matthew 9:9-17, figure out what it says, and then make some applications for us as we move into 2010.

Afraid of Jesus?
I‟d like to suggest to you that we don‟t often think of being afraid of Jesus, but we really should because for many people in the Bible an encounter with Jesus created fear – and rightly so. Who do I follow?
Who do you follow? We only spend a small percentage of our time 'in church." So what about the rest of the time? Following Jesus is a 24/7 thing! What you do outside of your "church time" says more about who you are and WHO you serve than when you may be at church. So, think about it again...Who do you follow?

The Great (Sales) Commission
Many Christians avoid participating in the Great Commission because it seems very much like a sales job. But is the Great Commission really about sales? Or, has our programmatic approach to Christianity caused us to misunderstand it? Key verses: Matt 28:18ff; Rom 1:1; Acts 16:7ff; 2Cor 1:3-7; 1Pet 3:8-15
