Part 1, Follow
Simple, Part One - Follow There is a common misconception that the church is a gathering place for saintly, perfect people. Moreover, some think that being a Christian means observing a set of rules or commandments. The reality is that the Christian life is about a relationship with Jesus Christ. At the heart of that relationship is an invitation that Jesus extends to people from all experiences of life: "Follow me." Matthew 9:9-13

Jesus And The Call To Discipleship
When Jesus called people to follow him he spoke very clearly about what that means. In Luke 9:23 He said, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me". This is Jesus' call to discipleship. Where did we ever get the idea that it is okay for some people to call themselves Christians and yet not obey this call to follow Christ as a disciple? One of the most common questions people wrestle with is this: “What should I do with my life?“ Jesus actually gives us the answer with just two words: follow me.

The 23rd Psalm Part 6
What does it mean when the last verse of Psalm 23 talks about “dwelling in the house of the Lord forever?†David also uses three other words in chapter 27 for “houseâ€â€”“templeâ€, “tabernacleâ€, and “tentâ€â€”all direct references to Christ’s own body as found in John 2. Simply put, to dwell in the house is to remain or abide in Christ as your Lord and Savior. The preceding parallel passage, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life†spells it out even more, that all the blessings that accompany the saving grace of Christ are yours the rest of your life! Just like Captain “Sully†demonstrated in that heroic crash landing in the Hudson river, you can remain cool and calm in the middle of turmoil and danger.
