Adoption: God's Greatest Gift
Adoption: God’s Greatest Gift Reconnect – October 11, 2009 Text: Ephesians 1:3-6, Galatians 4:3-7, Romans 18:14-17, John 1:10-13 Key Thought: Adoption is God’s greatest gift – but to choose it we must see the whole picture: that it is beautiful and hard at the same time. How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. Ephesians 1:3-6, NLT

The 23rd Psalm Part 6
What does it mean when the last verse of Psalm 23 talks about “dwelling in the house of the Lord forever?†David also uses three other words in chapter 27 for “houseâ€â€”“templeâ€, “tabernacleâ€, and “tentâ€â€”all direct references to Christ’s own body as found in John 2. Simply put, to dwell in the house is to remain or abide in Christ as your Lord and Savior. The preceding parallel passage, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life†spells it out even more, that all the blessings that accompany the saving grace of Christ are yours the rest of your life! Just like Captain “Sully†demonstrated in that heroic crash landing in the Hudson river, you can remain cool and calm in the middle of turmoil and danger.

Sowing Like Theres No Tomorrow but Forever
Where your treasure is, there your future will be also. Where you spend yourself, you leave yourself - it'll either be in a tomorrow that fades away as quickly as yesterday did; or it'll be in a tomorrow that last's forever.

Deeper
In many marriages, time seems to erode away, slowly but surely, communication, caring, affection, sensitivity, intimacy and spontaneity. It happen from a major event. Rather, the two stopped turning towards each other and began turning away from each other. God has a different plan! His blueprint is for relationships to grow and deepen. God created marriages to be more loving and passionate than they were in the beginning.
