The Lord Sustained Me
Have you ever really blown it? I mean really blown it big time and then the consequences set in. Usually at that point we resign ourselves to the idea that we are on our own. What would God want to do with someone like me? I am a wicked and sinful person. It is easy to develop that kind of attitude when we are justly suffering in the consequences of our own sin. Yet as we look at the third Psalm we see that as David was very much in this situation his response was to cry out to God and take real confidence in His grace and mercy. This is a lesson that we need to learn as well.

Love's Confrontation
When John's account of Jesus' life and his suffering for sin was completed by his relating the resurrection it still was not over. The last chapter of his Gospel is the perfect capstone. After all, the Gospel is so much more than just a great story of sacrifice, it is the real benefit of that sacrifice the is demonstrated as Jesus seeks out Peter and brings him to the place of realizing the magnitude of his sin and the magnitude of Jesus' forgiveness. This is the part of the story that we need not just to hear but experience!

Acceptance
Acceptance. Whether you’re a teenager in Jr. High or moving into a new neighborhood, you want acceptance. Do you ever feel distant from God? Does the shame and guilt of sin ever make you feel this distance? As if God doesn’t accept you any longer? What do we do as Christians when we sin? In the apostle John’s first letter, he told his hearers that they could know and experience God’s love and acceptance as those who were in the “fellowship” of the Father and Son and with one another. We can know and experience the love and acceptance of God in our lives.

It is time to take a leap of faith to forgive
It is time to take a leap of faith to forgive. It is so easy to hold things against one another. If we are going to be followers of Christ we will forgive as he has forgiven us. Do you love others with unconditional forgiveness and mercy?

How Does Jesus Respond to Failures?: A Look at the Life of Peter Many of us are afraid of what others would think about us if they really knew us—all of our secrets, hidden thoughts, and actions. This fear causes us to set up walls and keep certain parts of our lives private. But what about God? What does the God who sees everything about us think? How does the God who sees everything respond to our failures? Until we know how God responds to failures, we will never truly be able to trust him with our hearts. To answer this question I want to look at one of the biggest failures in the Bible and see how Jesus responds to him. His name is Peter and we will find that we are more like him than we might think.
