Counting Sheep - September 16, 2007
Want to know what it's all about? Jesus makes it clear in the Parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin that nothing is as important as Christ's mission to seek and save the lost. If we are to be about Kingdom work, it must be our purpose to work with Christ to find the lost.
Lost and Found
Pastor Ed Dubberke continues our series "We the Church" with the sermon "Lost and Found."
Luke 15.1-10: Lost and Found
Today we begin to look at three parables found in Luke 15. During this talk we examine the first two parables that Jesus addresses to the Pharisees. We see the heart of Jesus in these stories. He desires for all to be restored to a relationship with God. Jesus is willing to bear the burden of restoration. He is on a mission to restore that which is lost, that it would found!
All You're Looking For
U2's hit song "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" has found a place of resonance in hearts around the world. Jesus understood our quest for ultimate fulfillment, and taught us that we'll never find all we're looking for until HE is all we're looking for.
Search and Rescue: The Mission Of Jesus
Our mission as a church must be the same as that of Jesus Christ - to seek and save the lost.
Luke 15.11-32: Resurrection (Easter)
Thank God for Easter. It is on this day we remember the resurrection of Jesus. He suffered and died on the cross on Friday and was in the grave for three days. On the third day He raised from the grave. Today we thank for God for the resurrection. We are all in need of resurrection. To be resurrected is to be raised up. It is to be taken from one reality to a new reality. It is to be changed from the earthly to the heavenly. It is to be raised from life to death. We are all in need of this. Do you believe this?
NYChristmas
As Christians our identity is in Christ. We are found, chosen, and loved by God.
Lost
The minute we allow Jesus to be the Good Shepherd, he can bring us the love, warmth and forgiveness that we need from God.
