A Commitment to the Foundation
Foundations are very important. Ask anyone who is even remotely connected to the construction industry, and they will tell you that the most crucial part of any building is the foundation. Builders of skyscrapers tend to spend half the budget of the entire building on the foundation alone, and builders of bridges, dams, and other buildings all agree that the most devastating damage that can happen to a structure is damage resulting from a defective foundation. While the biblical writer Paul may not have worked in construction, he did know something about foundations. When he wrote his letter to the Colossians thousands of years ago, he explains one of the most important aspects of foundations in our own lives.
