Sermons about Fulfillment
Having been told to go back to Bethel and engage in the right worship of God, Jacob leads his household in this worship and then journey's on. The second part of Genesis 35, though, mentions three events that reveal the truth that even though Yahweh has promised fulfillment of his covenant with Abraham and his descendants, and even though this fulfillment is in the midst of taking place, nonetheless it takes place in the midst of certain kinds of failures. It is this union of fulfillment and failure that marks the life of God's people now as they journey on toward the final fulfillment in the New Heavens and New Earth. What lessons do we learn from these failures mentioned in this text and their union with God's fulfillment of his promises?
We must remember a few things as we anticipate God's fulfillment of his promises.
Do you have part of Jesus' peace? Do you know who He is and what He has done? Do you know God in flesh? We are without excuse as Jesus took all our sins upon Him when He suffered and died for us.As He was raised again (on the third day), so will we be raised as long as we believe AND accept the free gift.
I pray this message encourages you on your journey from promise to fulfillment. God is always faithful.
Since Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law and Prophets, we can and must live according to God's word.
This message explores the biblical truth that freedom and fulfillment come through total transformation in Christ.
Many churches do ministry day in day out without the Power of God. They have a great drama program, put up an awesome show for those who come to see it and may have a successful out-reach program. But they do it all in there own power. They did not wait to move till the power of the Spirit came upon them (Luke 24:49). Are you waiting patiently for His Power to come over you or did you also move out on your own?
It is clear why Jesus came to live on Earth; to save His people from sin. In today's culture this is harder and harder to teach, as the world tries to make Jesus what they want Him to be. And then when disaster strikes, they wonder why "He allows this to happen".
If we do not understand the birth (nativity) of Christ, we do not grasp the significance of Christmas. It is NOT what the world made of it (presents, gifts and Santa), but it is the most single significant event in history. Only by believing that Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives can we be saved from God's wrath. Do you believe on the One God send?
The birth of Jesus was not the beginning. It was the culmination of God's work in all previous generations. God looked upon the world and was so appalled by our behavior that He send His only Son to die for our sins! Has the birth of Jesus Christ touched your soul?
