Oops! I am Supposed to do What to My Enemies?
If we are committed followers of Christ we have to love our enemies; do good o all who hate us; bless those who curse us and pray for those who mistreat us. This is NOT optional. This is how we are different from the world. This is striving to be like Christ.
Loving Generously
David brings to life whattrue love means, what it takes to be an example of this and how that ought to affect the way we treat those around us as well as those living far away from us.
Trusting God with your Money
Trusting God with your money is fundamental to a life of faith and to life in Christ. God has always demanded generosity both for the benefit of the poor, but also for the benefit of the giver in order to position the giver for blessing so that he/she can be even more generous in order to fund the gospel and to be a blessing to mankind in various ways.
Talent
Hold onto your seats this weekend as we look at the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30. What is this parable is all about? Is it all about our natural talents enabling us to score in life’s game or is it something much more? What happens when God gets a hold of your life and gives you new gifts and adventures to fulfill? Key Passage: Matthew 25:14-30
Finding God In Times Of Emotional Trauma & Confusion
Pastor gives us a guide to staying on the right track amidst some of the difficulties of life.
Just Ask ... ?
We witness it nearly every day…the sacriï¬ces that good parents make for their children. The ï¬nancial and time commitments that go into raising healthy kids are HUGE but you seldom hear a parent complain! Jesus points out the best of our traits as earthly parents and then draws a comparison…if this is how good moms and dads look after their children... how much more will your heavenly Father...? How much have we understood about the Father’s generous heart toward His children? Will we trust? Do we believe? Will we be bold enough to ask? Key Passage: Matthew 7:7-12
Why Worry?
Will I trust my heavenly Father to take care of me? OR will I take matters into my own hands? Balancing my responsibility to work hard, give generously, save regularly, and spend wisely with an absolute conï¬dence that God is my provider is a difficult balance for all of us to maintain. It is so easy to begin to believe that we have to look after ourselves, and to become consumed with "having enough." Jesus challenges us to put our trust in Him alone and to give up the useless habit of worry…easy to say ... hard to live out! Key Passage: Matthew 6:19-34
I Will Cheerfully Give This Year
The 3rd in a series about not wasting our lives this year. This one touches on that most uncomfortable of topics: The Christian and His Money. Christians have this strange notion that money and church are somehow separated. That money doesn't touch the "spiritual." Paul blasts that notion in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11, telling us that what we give actually impacts eternity.
The Generosity of God
Bob Hyatt leads a discussion on God's generosity, and the generous response the Gospel calls us to in response.
