Legalistic tithing
What is the motivation for our giving? Does it line up with the Lord's will or are we giving in error.
Matthew 6:1-4 Seeking God
When we give, we ought to give out of the generosity of our heart, not for the attention of man. In this message, Pastor Joe challenges us to seek the attention of God, not man in all that we do.
Are You Well Invested in an IEA?
Paul has been accused in Jerusalem of taking a Gentile into the temple; for that, the Jews mob him; they would've killed him had the Romans not rescued him by arresting him and taking him to Rome to stand trial for disturbance of the peace. So he is under house arrest with guards watching his every move ... and this wonderful church in Philippi sends a guy named Epaphroditus to Paul with supplies and support ... and Paul is now sending to them a thank you note and in chapter 1 he reminds them "for me to live is Christ" (v. 21) ... chapter 2 you need to have this mind in you as well (v. 5) so "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure (12-13) ... chapter 3 so the "one thing I do ... I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (14) ... chapter 4 ... for I have learned the secret of being content in every situation; whether I have plenty or I have nothing ... my circumstances do not control who I am; regardless of what is happening to me ... I can handle it b/c I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (v. 13). That takes us to v. 14.
My Earthly Fathers

And Great Fear Came Upon the Whole Church; Acts 4:32-5:11
A new heart loves new things.
Will God Repay?
God asks us to give freely to him, promising that he will more than repay us. And, Jesus taught that we will be accountable for our stewardship of everything God entrusts to us. But, will God really repay the investments we make in his kingdom? This case study will help you to see that he does and help you to understand why it is so vital that we seek out opportunities to make such investments. It's life changing. Don't miss this.
