When we read the Bible, we learn to hear the voice of God.
A People For His Glory is a series about revival. We will be using the move of God as seen in the book of Acts as a template for the revival God wants to bring to our city. We will discover the key elements that were present as the early disciples spread to the four corners of the Earth.
While God can use many means to communicate with His children, he has chosen the written Word of God as his primary and most frequent means of speaking to us. This is God's play book for our lives. Combined with what the Spirit of God does to help apply God's word, it is unlike any other source of God's voice and revelation to us. This message also looks at what often stands in the way of us hearing from God through it and what we can do simply and regularly to hear God in it.
Hearing the voice of God can be challenging in life. This message takes us through the Old and New Testament scriptures dealing with HOW God has chosen to communicate with us and still speaks with us.
What is to be done when a nation passes through financial hard times? For most, the answer is to make the necessary adjustments and move on. And, that is precisely what most of us have done since 2008. But what if the problems that continue to assail both our nation and the world are more than mere economic fluctuations?
