Sermons About Good-works
A Royal Priesthood
My purpose in preaching this passage is to show you this morning what your sacred calling is as a Christian. I also want to free you from the mindset of having to sit and wonder what it is that God has called you to as a ministry. I want you to understand that every Christian has a sacred calling to minister as a New Covenant priest and God has already said what the offering is to be. I also want you to understand that these sacrifices are not additions to the sacrifice of Christ but are proof positive of the radical change in you as the sacrifice of Christ has been applied to you in salvation and made you free to serve the living God with a clear conscience. Next week we will look at our priestly duty toward the church.

No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service
We're now in the last part of our sermon series called RESERVATION. For every hotel you go to, there are certain policies that all the guests must observe. One of the usual rules would be: NO SHOES, NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE. The last issue under this theme is about not being good enough and not being worthy to receive God's favor. Satan will do his best to make you feel that you do not deserve a personal and intimate relationship with God. He will say, "You're not as good as you think you are; you don't deserve to be forgiven. Your God is good and you're not." But if you believe those words, then, you will become a victim of Satan's trap.

Sunday Sermon for Week 13-09
For the second time, Paul proclaims that it is by grace we are saved. Salvation does not come about because of faith. Salvation comes by grace through faith. Salvation is not a reward for being good or keeping the law. Although good works do not save a person, they are a result of salvation.

Sunday Sermon for Week 12-09
But God, powerful words from Ephesians 2:4. Paul tells the Ephesians that they were once dead in their transgressions and sins. Every human being on the face of the earth starts spiritually dead. This death is comprehensive; it is by sins of both omission and commission. But God, in His grace and mercy has made us has made us alive in Jesus Christ.

Saturday Sermon for Week 11-09
Dan relates and experience when as a young patrol officer, he was involved in an auto accident in which a young woman was killed. His reoccurring question in the aftermath was "where was God" in this event. In Ephesians, Paul says that God is always with us, and that by His mercy and grace we are made alive in Christ.

Titus 3
In Titus 3 Paul tells us that we need to submit to governmental authorities and be kind and humble to all people. Although we don't always feel people deserve it, we didn't deserve God's grace- but he extended it to us anyway. And as Christians, we need to become Christ-like. He then ends the letter with some instructions to maintain good works in light of what God has done for us through Christ.

Titus 2
In Titus 2 Paul gives instructions for the people belonging to different groups in the church. He addresses the older men and women, the younger men and women, and the slaves. The key theme running through the chapter is living lives that will make God and his gospel look attractive to unsaved people. He then gives the motivation for living godly lives and doing good works. It is because of what God has done for us through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

The Faces of Good and Evil, p1
"God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5). "[Satan] was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44-45).
