Be The Alternative: Community
What is the church to do? We are called to "be the alternative" to the ways of the world. In this message, Pastor Simmons speaks to the difference the church is to make in the way we relate to one another in community. The individualism and consumerism in the church today is getting in the way. How do we discover true community again so we can give the world a "foretaste of glory divine"?

The 23rd Psalm Part 6
What does it mean when the last verse of Psalm 23 talks about “dwelling in the house of the Lord forever?†David also uses three other words in chapter 27 for “houseâ€â€”“templeâ€, “tabernacleâ€, and “tentâ€â€”all direct references to Christ’s own body as found in John 2. Simply put, to dwell in the house is to remain or abide in Christ as your Lord and Savior. The preceding parallel passage, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life†spells it out even more, that all the blessings that accompany the saving grace of Christ are yours the rest of your life! Just like Captain “Sully†demonstrated in that heroic crash landing in the Hudson river, you can remain cool and calm in the middle of turmoil and danger.
