YHWH
We are currently studying passages of scripture foundational to Christian doctrine and faith so that we as a body of believers may be established and grounded in what we believe, motivated to live a life worthy of our calling because of who God is and what He has done for us. This week’s root is YHWH (Attributes of God).
No Honor In Your Own Home
A brief message about the modes of worship and our ability to worship freely.
It is OK to Trust
Like it or not, we are all born with the need to trust. Children are a wonderful example of this; they are so trusting of their parents. Adults have a need to trust as well...yet many times we struggle with issues of trust. Some may question why they should trust God. This is a legitimate question Christians should not ignore. Yet a legitimate question to be asked of that question is, "What happens if a person does not trust God?"
What Do We Know About God?
We have all been guilty of living as if God does not exist (either in our past...or perhaps even currently). Undoubtedly there are a variety of reasons for this. Many people blatantly choose to live as if God does not exist. Undoubtedly there are a variety of reasons for this as well. I wonder, can a more accurate view of God help both those who blatantly reject Him and those who struggle with living as if He does not exist? While we cannot know Him exhaustively (if we think we can we have just reduced Him to an idol), we can know Him.
The Foundation of Scripture 2

When you live for God you are worshiping God. 4. Be gracious to one another. Share with those in need. 5. Be forgiving to one another. MLK, "I decided to stick with love because hate is to great a burden." 6.Genuinely connect with others. 7. Do your best to get along with others, as much as it depends on you. 8. Walk in humility. 9. Be honest. Be careful to do what is right in the sight of the Lord. 10. Use the weapons of goodness. You cannot become good by youreslf. Iron sharpens iron.
