The Passover Road
Luke 22:24-38 Jesus has just redefined the Passover to focus on the rescue and victory gained through His death on the cross. Amazingly, after hearing of the significance of the cross and that one of them would betray Jesus, the disciples pridefully move from discussing who the betrayer would be to who it could not be. It could not be the one who was the greatest. As they argue about who is the greatest, Jesus answers their self-focused response by redefining greatness in light of the Passover road…that victory and rescue comes through humble service and sacrifice as seen perfectly in Jesus.
