Learning to Live Loved
When you give God ownership of your life so that he's not just number "one" he's number "all", that's where healing begins. That's what gets you ready to live the rest of your life in a way that glorifies God.

Who's Counting?
Today we rarely seem to talk about sin. It's the new four letter word both in and outside the church. Yet the Bible is clear that sin is or was our biggest problem as human beings created in God's image. God cannot tolerate it. Yet His love is so immense for us, that he stepped into the middle of time as a human being Himself, and paid the price for our rebellion. Now, He no longer counts our sins against us. Do we understand how huge that is and what that means for us?

Overcoming Shame
The world is a tough place. Tougher than we realize sometimes. One of the things it tends to throw at us is a constant barrage of the question, "are you good enough?" Sometimes the answer is yes, other times no. This can lead to an underlying battle with shame, whether we realize it or not. Jesus knew the shame that the world throws at us. He also shows us how to deal with it so we can live victoriously.

Made Right With God (Romans 5:18-19)
All men are born in Adam and inherit original sin which brings enmity with God. How does one become right with God? We cannot make ourselves righteous. By faith in Christ, we are imputed the righteousness of Christ. Adam's sin was imputed to all men, those who have faith in Christ have their sin imputed to Christ and Christ's righteousness imputed to them.

Justice
Martin Luther King, Jr. said," Cowardice asks the questions: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it politic? Vanity asks the questions: is it popular? But conscience asks the questions: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular - but one must take it simply because it is right."

Finding Freedom
The Colossians were being told how to deal with the demands of deity: be spiritual, do this, don't do that, don't eat this, don't touch that, be this kind of person, follow the rules. One thing religion does is try to offer a way to get free of the things that bring us guilt and shame for the things we did or shouldn't have done or things we didn't do that we should have, or things that were done to us that make us feel fearful and inferior and ashamed. Religion is about rules to follow, or ways to get on God's good side or to feel good about yourself as a person. Some religions tell you that you have nothing really to feel guilty or ashamed of because God is such a nice guy and always just understands that boys will be boys and girls will be girls. Religion almost always involves guilt and shame management. In this message from Colossians 2 we show you that Jesus can free you from guilt and shame from the things in your past.
