Jesus Found Guilty of Receiving Sinners
Jesus was accused of many things during his life. One of the most revealing accusations was that he was "a friend of sinners." Apart from him claiming equality with God, nothing irritated the religious establishment of Jesus' day more than his free association with the moral outcasts of society. What does this tell us about the heart of God and about Christ's mission? And what does it say to us as God's church about what our attitude and association with "sinners" should be?
Guilt and Grace
Because the perfect justice of God and the perfect grace of God met at the cross of Jesus Christ, we can be declared innocent before God; made right with God and reconciled to Him.
