As surely as God has chosen us with His hand He will heal us by His Hand
The Gospel is the most important thing and vital for everything. This, alone, is what the church believes.
We have all been there: moments when we are tempted to throw our hands in the air and just walk away. What if throwing your hands up was actually a good thing?
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Jesus was going to feed the 5000 but He wanted to teach His followers a valuable lesson. When He said to them, "You give them something to eat" it must have been unbelievable for them. Jesus was showing them that when He asks for our involvement it is not and invitation to go off on our own, but an invitation to join Him.
What to do at the end of the world? According to the Apostle Peter, pray and love with clarity and focus, for God's glory, through Jesus Christ.
I preached this sermon with my friends at Taft Avenue Community Church in Orange, CA during their missions conference. This passage from Acts encouraged them pray that the hand of the Lord would use their ordinary lives to make their churches, in their community, a center for the Gospel mission as he did in the church in Antioch.
