Christ versus the Sabbath Scrooges
Continuing from the verse-by-verse series in John, we see that the healing of the man who had been afflicted for 38 years. The words Jesus used were a great illustration of the totality of the gospel message: "Rise, Take Up Thy Bed, And Walk." Rise = Salvation. Take up thy bed = put aside your past. Walk = walk in newness of life.

When we, who claim the name of Christ, continue in our sinful ways, our hateful words and actions slander not only ourselves, we slander Jesus. Our actions spread malicious lies about Christ to the world, instead of the good news of the Gospel.

The Healing Touch
The Lord's healing touch is revealed in Naaman's being healed of his leprosy, and as Jesus brings healing and new life to the unnamed leper in Mark chapter 1. God's healing mercy continues to be demonstrated in the world today as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and receive his healing mercy for body, mind, and spirit. The work of Mission India draws countless thousands of children, youth, and adults to Christ's healing mercy that brings new life and salvation.

Our Desires and Jesus' Control
Mark 3:20-35 Our reaction to the person of Christ requires action of us: either rejecting His claims, or embracing His Lordship. Indifference is not a plausible, logical, or valid response. How have we distorted who Christ is in our own lives? Are we deceived and missing out on the fullness of life in relationship with Christ?
