God's Concern for the Whole Person: Body, Mind, and Spirit
God's concern is not just for eternity, but for the here and now also. And God is concerned not just about the soul, but the body and mind as well. God who created and redeemed us is passionately concerned about the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. Understanding and living stewardship in daily life, we are called to manage God's gift of our health and well-being. On the church's calendar, October 18 commemorates St. Luke, Evangelist. Luke was also a physician, so there are strong healing connections associated with this day. Into our stress-filled world broken by sin, Jesus has come to bring healing and shalom - his saving peace.

Blessed Are The Broken
Pride, fear, image management—all factors that often comprise the denial of any kind of addiction and denial of the need for help. Most times we won't change until the pain becomes greater than our fear of change, and reality is we can't change without divine intervention. When we humble ourselves and admit our weakness, God's strength then has permission to begin to flow through us and start to transform us from the inside out. He alone has the power to help us walk free. There is power in the admission of powerlessness. This message is the first in a series of teachings on steps toward healing, toward walking free in the grace and strength of God.

Shake It Off
In the same way Paul was bit by the serpant and shook it off, we also need to shake it off when the serpant (Satan) attacks or bites us!

Healing the Wounded Spirit
Healing the Wounded Spirit Scripture: Luke 17:1-7 A person’s spirit will sustain him in sickness; but a wounded spirit who can bear it. (Proverbs 18:14) How do we get wounded? 1. From those who sin against us 2. From our own personal sins 3. From traumatic incidents 4. From unhealthy responses to people and situations we have misinterpreted – just because we got hurt does not prove that someone has wronged us Why is this an important issue? * Because wounded soldiers cannot go into battle * Because bitterness is long-held unforgiveness about a wound we received, and unforgiveness hinders prayer (Luke 11;4 * Because hurting people hurt other people and it gets passed on. How do you pray for the healing of wounds? (Luke 17:6, 7) * You can start with a speck of faith like a grain of mustard seed * Speak to the mulberry tree with its massive root system –remove it (Vs. 6) * Uprooting a wound will “hurt to heal” * Keep speaking God’s WORD over the wound – God will bring the healing The words of Jesus to the wounded * “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Ps.147:3) * “By His wounds we are healed.” (Is. 53:5) * “He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted and set the oppressed free.” (Luke 4:18 Invite Jesus to minister to your wounds * “A bruised reed He will not break” * “A flickering wick He will not snuff out.” (Matt. 12:20)

Pt. 1, Admitting Need: The Reality Choice
In this message Pastor Jeremy talks about being poor in spirit. He explains how being proud will prevent us from healing from out troubles. We cannot change things on our own. We need to admit we have problems, ask God for help AND ask God for help.

The Blessings of Blindness
As we open our Scriptures to John 9, we find one of the most beautiful stories in all of the Scriptures. This miracle is the fourth record of Jesus healing blindness in the Scriptures. It is obvious that he healed more than four, but only four are recorded. We know that healing the blind was a fulfillment of prophecy: To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. Isaiah 42:7 (KJV)
