How is Your Hearing?
"He who has ears to hear, let him hear". Great crowds came to see Jesus and hear Him speak. They also came to see the miracles. But only those who have faith and believe the Truth of His words are able to hear the Word of God and do it!. For the world His Words are parables that cannot be understood and put into practice.
The Hearing Ear
The Hearing Ear is a sermon that shows the importance of responding to the conviction of the Lord.
The Church Working and God Moving
Why do we gather this morning in a sanctuary? Because you are saved? You see it as an obligation? You are curious about God's Word? Or you have no idea why, but something told you to go. One thing is certain; we are gathered to worship God. He called all of us here together, no matter what our background is, to share His vision (Word) with all of us.
You Can DO It
Going to church is not enough. Getting smarter, and filling your head is not all that it takes. We must DO the word.
Hearing
Prayer: Living the Connect – Hearing Palm Sunday 2013 Text: Galatians 5:16-26; John 10:27-29 Key Thought: God wants us to hear from Him, which involves not only listening but also being ready to obey. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25, NLT
Why do You Call Me Lord?
Who you are is shown by your heart. Jesus did not come to condemn anybody. Jesus came to change us. Why does somebody call Jesus "Lord", and does not change his ways. This person is changed on the outside for appearance but his heart is still sinful.
How well is your hearing?
We are called to hear, follow and obey Christ. To do this, we need to rightly hear with the ears of our hearts, not just logically accept what Christ has to say. Jesus teaches of four soils that we can become after hearing the truth of His word. Those who hear well will be like the good soil, living transformed lives that bear good fruit and shine the radiant light of Christ's love to the world!
The Churches of Revelation: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly Part 2 - From Here to Eternity
Revelation 2:8-17 King James Version (KJV) 8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. 12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. 16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
