A Spending Crisis
. In the United States we have a spending problem. We only produce XXXXXXXXXX amount of the stuff in the world but consume XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. We buy until we run out of our own money and then when we run out beg VISA, Mastercard, or Amercian Excess to give us some of their money (which is actually our money by the way) and gladly pay them 12, 15, or even upwards of 20% interest back. The last statistic I saw showed that on average American’s have a -% savings rate; in other words on average Americans spend more than they make annually. It is totally counter-cultural to not have a credit card. The reality is that the problem in most America households is not an income problem; there is a spending crisis. How can we tell if there is a spending crisis? Look back at what Jesus said and then ask this question…where does my bank statement say the desires of my heart are?

True Righteousness & Anger, pt. 2 (Matthew 5:23-26)
The righteousness that marks one's participation in the kingdom, the righteousness that was always intended, is a level of living in relationship with God that extends to the very depths of the heart. True righteousness, being in the kingdom, being a Christian is a matter of the inner man. Follow the Lord as He gives to illustrations of how this righteousness, in relation to the commandment "You shall not murder," looks in the life of His servants.

Restoration of the Heart (Ezekiel 36:24-29)
Difficult life situations can put constant pressure on our heart, causing it to harden and for spiritual calluses to form. If we don’t give the situation over to God in prayer and believe God will work everything out, over time the skin of our hearts begins to toughen up in order to handle the repeated irritation.

Service Towards Others
What does it take to be great? How is someone great in the Kingdom of Christ? From these three passages in the book of Mark (9:33-37; 9:38-41; 10:35-45) Pastor Lance Parrott calls towards service in the body, but with the right attitudes. These stories call us to have the heart of a servant - the very heart of Jesus himself. Hear the Word of the Lord. Change Deals With the Idols of the Heart
The elders of Israel were steeped in idolatry. One day they came to the prophet Ezekiel to inquire of the Lord and God made it plain that the only thing He was willing to talk about was the idols they had set up in their hearts. The practice of idolatry is far more prevalent than most us realize. Idolatry affects us at the heart level and steals the affection and devotion God rightly deserves. Whatever rules our hearts will exercise an inescapable influence over our thoughts and behaviors. Therefore, biblical change must thoroughly address the idols of the heart.

Beholding the Lord
When you look in the mirror what do you see? As Christians we should see Christ's reflection more and more as we look into our spiritual mirrors, the Bible. This what it means to BEHOLD THE LORD! This message focuses on how this happens.

Lasting Change Begins in the Heart
If we ever hope to experience lasting change in our lives, then we must deal with our problems on the heart level. The heart of our problem is the problem in our heart. Jesus made it very plain that we do the things we do because of what we have stored up in our hearts. People and circumstances are not the cause of our problems, they only provide occasions for our hearts to reveal themselves. Fruit change is a result of root change. The heart must be the target of our personal growth and ministry. God wants to produce a heart change in us and then use us to produce heart change in others.
