There is a point when the Lord actually becomes weary with what is supposed to be good. When praise and worship become an abomination. The people of Isaiah's day had the pattern of worship but their hearts were far from it. Today, The Lord desires truth, honesty and pure hearts.. Lord Teach Us!
Where is true assurance found? This section of Hebrews may be surprising!
Is your engagement limited to Sunday only? Are you extending the kingdom outside of these four walls? Are you extending the Kingdom beyond your home? Does your life, and your life in the church, reflect the love and the response-ableness that you are capable of?
King Jesus deserves the place of honor in our hearts. Give Him your allegiance. Show Him your love and respect. Follow Him in obedience. Appreciate Him for what He does and provides. Do everything with and for Him.
We often become comfortable with the way that the world works. Are our hearts truly dependant on God to sustain us? Will we truly shout for joy when the way of the world is done away?
Finally, Solomon finds something in life that has meaning! Going to the temple to worship the Lord. Yet, we are quickly reminded that a heartless, apathetic worship is meaningless too. We can only receive Peace through Christ. We must stand on the promises of God. We have all experienced, "close calls", "just in times", "almost" situations, but we were saved by the Grace of God. Let not your hearts be troubled; you may be on your way out of a storm, on your way into a storm, or already in a storm right now, but if you lean of God and find your Peace, that storm my not be in your way.
