Greater Than...
We’re starting a new study in the book of Hebrews and it calls us to the reality of the spiritual conflict that takes place in the heavenly realms and in our daily lives. The challenge to stand firm, to not drift, to not shrink back, is woven through the pages of this great book. It is a call to persevere, a call to dependence, and a call to GREAT FAITH! Calendar Chaos
Two of the founding fathers of the study of effects of stress (Holmes & Rahe) came up with an index of the top 43 most stressful life events. It includes everything from going through a divorce to having a baby to buying a new house to changing jobs. And guess what else makes the list of most stressful life-change events? CHRISTMAS. Christmas is the only holiday that makes the list; no other does. Christmas is a chaotic time of year, and God wants to help us deal with the chaos. He also wants us to embrace the chaos that comes with the territory of being a Christ-follower.
