Honesty and Judging: Romans 2:1-5
We must move away from a perspective on our sin that finds us comparing ourselves to one another. We must begin to see sin from God's perspective. He alone is the judge and we are without excuse.

Sacred Marriage: holiness
We continue this week through our five week teaching series on marriage. Marriage is treated casually and aimlessly in our culture. But God has a different view of marriage. This Sunday we are asking these questions: What if God didn’t design marriage to be easy? What if God had a different end in mind that went beyond our happiness and comfort? What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy? What if we had this perspective? This week we will look at marriage through this lens.

Sermon on the Mount - The Beatitudes Part 3
Mat 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: Mat 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Mat 5:3 Blessed [are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:4 Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Mat 5:5 Blessed [are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Mat 5:6 Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Mat 5:7 Blessed [are] the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Mat 5:8 Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Mat 5:9 Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Mat 5:10 Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

1 Timothy 4:11-16 - Actions Speak Louder Than Words
We are commanded to stay true to our faith, continually study God's Word and be salt and light to an unbelieving world. Our actions often speak far louder than our words for that which is on the outside is manifested by that on the inside.

The Mystery of Godliness
What is the key to living for Christ? I don't know if there is a single key, but I believe that the Apostle Paul gives us a major one as He writes to the young pastor Timothy. In the midst of a letter filled with instruction about living and leading in a godly way Paul inserts a short statement about the nature of Christ and His ministry. Why does he do this? I believe that it is a key and as we seek to understand Paul and how he presents the Gospel in other letters in our New Testament we can unlock one of the greatest incentives to living a godly life..

Different How?
"I cannot, by direct moral effort, give myself new motives. After the first few steps in teh Christian life we realize that everything which really needs to be done in our souls can be done only by God." ~ C.S. Lewis - Mere Christianity
