The Scribes and Pharisees practiced a religion based upon the following of even the smallest regulation which they created by the hundreds. Their hatred of Jesus was in part due to His consistent teaching and life that lived perfectly into His Fathers Word and not theirs. This challanged their authority and uncovered their piety for what it really was - hypocritical.

"Judge not..." was a command given by Jesus to each and every Christian in regards to the way they view other people.
