Transforming Grace
“When I was ten I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.†- C.S. Lewis To be so self-absorbed, so fearful of the opinions of others, so defined by what others think, is a sure way to miss the real Jesus. To be like a child, to be willing to look foolish for Jesus is a crushing blow to your pride, and it is a necessary step to meet the real Jesus. Have you gotten over the fear of looking childish?
