Sermons About Immersion
Psalm 1: Immersed
Psalm 1 speaks of happy people who delight themselves in the law of God. The Psalm writer says these people are like trees planted near living water. In his sermon, Pastor Jason reminds us of what Jesus says are the two greatest commandments: to love God and to love your neighbor. If we delight ourselves in God's law, focusing on these two central commandments, we will be immersed in God's living water--a source for our continued outreach and compassion to others.

Gratitude On Another Level
The Bible says you are to give thanks each day in everything you do or say within the context of having the “peace of Christ” ruling in your life and the “word of Christ” dwelling in your heart (Colossians 3:15-16). Earlier in Colossians 3, Paul refers to the basic Gospel story, having “died” and having your life “hidden” in Christ until He appears again—when you, too, shall appear with Him. He explains this further in Romans 6 through the illustration of baptism by immersion that symbolizes your participation in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Take your gratitude to another level and thank God—not just for material blessings—but for His gift of salvation through Christ’s sacrifice for your sins.
