It's God, in the flesh!
As we celebrated the birth and incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we continue to be reminded of the importance and significance throughout Scripture, and we now examine the Gospel of John, authored by the closest disciple to Christ. To the original reader and the early church, they had just seen two of the pre-eminent disciples, Peter and Paul, martyred for their faith. The church needed to be reminded that their faith is not centered on the leadership of great men of faith, but on the centered truth of the gospel - Jesus Christ is God. Our faith is built on the truth that Jesus conquered sin and death to offer the believer the blessings of salvation.
