Sermons About Incarnation
Loving like Jesus
As we move toward Christmas, our eyes are turned toward Jesus. The Christmas story centers on His birth and introduces us to God's plan to win us back to Himself. We speak of the "incarnation" of Jesus - the act of His "taking on flesh" so that he might walk among us, love us, and ultimately give His life for us. "Incarnational" has become a very popular word in evangelical writings in the past 5-10 years - and more than being just the current "buzz-word" I believe it relates very well to the series of messages we've just completed, as well as putting feet to our mission of "loving people, following Jesus, and serving the world." In Christ, God took on flesh, so that He might relate to us. We in turn are called to step into the lives of others - to literally be "Jesus with skin on" to a world that needs to see and know the love of God.

The Story of Everything - Jesus
In the Story of Everything, this third chapter is about Jesus. Most of us reduce his part in the story to his death but there is more to the story than that. In this message we discuss the incarnation, the atonement, and his return and restoration.

Encounter Incarnational Presence
"Who is wise and understanding among you?" God calls us to live as those born of the wisdom from above. This wisdom is the incarnate Word of God - incarnate in us and in those we meet along the way.

Taking Risks for the City
God's plan for the city invites us to risk for the city. Jesus left comfort and security to save us. He works in us so we will take risks to bring the blessings of the gospel to people in the city.

O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Much of John 7 is a difficult conversation with Jesus extended family, disciples, and religious leaders. They wanted Jesus to "Show himself to the world," but was the world prepared to see the incarnation (God in the flesh)? This section of scripture asks us to struggle along!

Philosophy
The Ridge Church lives to glorify God – loving Jesus, loving people and seeing lives transformed to live for Jesus. We have been called to live this out globally and locally (the mission) and we have essential beliefs as we move down the highway of life, that we hold dear to, so we do not get off focus and fall away. To help us stay focused and on mission we must have a system of values and principles by which we live and function by as a church, a philosophy - in ministry it is important to have the right mindset and attitude toward how things should be done.
