Does Your Faith Make A Difference?
In this message we pose three questions: (1) How much faith do you possess? (2) Does more faith make a difference? (3) What can you do to increase your faith? The first question, we must honestly and objectively answer for ourselves. The latter two, the Scriptures give us solid answers - Answers that can make a big difference in your Christian life.
John 3:22-36
John the Baptist knew that if Jesus were to get the glory that he must become less. The life of a Christian is becoming less so that people meet Jesus and He gets the glory. How do you need to become less so Jesus becomes more?
3 Ways to Position Yourself for Increase
Jesus said in John 10:10 "...I've come to give life and to give it more abundantly". That's increase, no matter how you look at it. Everyone wants to increase. There are three reasons why God wants us to increase: 1) To be a blessing to others. We are made to be instruments of God through which His divine favor can flow. 2) To make God attractive to others. All through the Word of God there are examples of people who God empowered to prosper. And 3) It takes finances to spread the gospel to fulfill the call of God. In this message Pastor Michael shares three ways we can position ourself to receive increase. If you believe you're ready for increase, this message is for you. God wants to bless His covenant people, Ps. 115:12-14 "The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron, He will bless those who fear the Lord, Both small and great. May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth."
Declaration of (in) Dependence Part 8
If salvation is free and by faith alone, what can we do to increase and strengthen our faith?
Blessed
Say what you will about the prosperity message, but in the Bible, the way they knew that people were blessed is because they had success, because they had possessions. There was something that people could see in the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that they knew that the Lord had blessed them. Prosperity is evidence of the blessing, just like tongues is evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. The blessing includes increase, everywhere in scripture.
