As we wrap up the 2011 Advent Celebration's first stage, we are looking back at the story of the incarnational work of Jesus. It's far too easy to exclude folks that are on what we would call the fringe, and yet, when we look at the example of Jesus we are faced with the reality of His incarnational life. In order to grow & mature out of who we are in Him, we must not only recognize this, but also respond.

Have we forgotten to Whom it is we belong? Paul wrote to "the church" in Thessalonica for a variety of reasons. It could be summarized, as a whole, as a call to "blameless living." In 1:1 and 5:23-28 Paul's focus is on redirecting the Thessalonian Christians to remember they belong to God, they are not alone in their faith, and unity is essential in the body of Christ.

Ron Lheureux is the owner of Cornerstone Contractors, a home building and remodeling business. He and his wife are involved at New Life Worship Center. Before coming to Christ his life was in a mess. He went to jail for a number of years where he was introduced to Jesus. He begin to study the Word of God which the Holy Spirit used to bring about transformation in his life. He will share with us how he came out prison penniless, and how the Lord helped him start a business and enabled him to prosper in his business as well as in his soul.
