Disregard the Evidence
Do we see the beauty, mystery, and mercy with which God surrounds us—or only the problems in our lives? A folk proverb says, “90% of what a person sees lies behind the eyes.” It’s hard to see the big picture when our immediate problems consume us. And, even if we can’t change things, we want to understand them. Why do the wicked prosper and the innocent suffer? Why does a young mother get cancer? Why are people starving in some parts of the world, while others of us suffer the effects of overeating? Are some more deserving of life than others? Why? Why?
Job and Jesus
The story of Job show the life of a human being who pleased God and was considered to be prefect in his generation. As we examine the story we regularly find fault but we need to remember that Job is a fore-running type of Christ and the level of suffering that he endured is only a shadow of the suffering that Jesus subsequently endured.
oneness
Our relationship with the Father is paramount to Jesus and throughout his ministry Jesus continually highlighted that we need to be one both with himself and the Father.
Searching For God in Your Darkness
Job Teaches us about faithfulness in the midst of personal darkness. He teaches us that even when we cannot find God, God never abandons us. It is God that sustains us. God sent Jesus Christ into this dark world to be light. Jesus is the light in our personal darkness.
Persisting in Your Integrity
When life throws you a curve do you persist in yur integrity. Job's example is one that we can follow for today's living. We must stop blaming others for our situation and persist in our integrity.
Finding Satisfaction at Work
What does our work have to do with our core identity and purpose? For some of us, work functions as the answer to the questions, "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?" If we put work in this place, we elevate to the place of worship. If we don't worship work, what does it mean to worship through our work? That's the focus of this message.
Who Are You Going To Trust
