John 6 and 7: The Plan
Relationships are never formed through passivity. Instead, the best friendships form through intention and initiation. Action has to happen in the direction of another person. Plans need to be made and acted upon. Everyone loves it when a plan comes together. Our relationship with Christ is defined by a plan. It’s not just a small insignificant plan. Jesus has plans for every generation. Every day we have is numbered and planned by Jesus ahead of time. He has plans for this church in Chicago. Our purpose here is to prepare everyone in Chicago for the day they will meet Jesus face to face.

Stones of Grace
We often hear the phrase, “He that is without sin cast the first stone.” Another way of saying this is “He who lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw rocks.” Almost everyone knows that saying. Even people who’ve never read the Bible. It’s usually used as a defense against a particularly sinful lifestyle. I think we’d all agree its been used and abused. But it is a saying that is in the Bible. Or is it?

not lovin' it
Jesus said, the greatest commandment was to Love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. But he also said do not love the world or anything in the world, if anyone loves the world - the Love of the Father is not in him. Simply, you cannot love God and the world. Loving God means obeying him and we are called to live in this world and love the people of this world but not to love this worlds system. The tension and struggle for our affection and devotion ion is real. Are you ready to join other Christ followers in saying, "I've made my choice- i'm not lovin' it?"

Friend of God - Part 4
It is a very powerful thing when someone chooses to call you, “friend”… especially when the one choosing to be your friend is the maker of everything in Heaven and on Earth. The scriptures say volumes about friendship. Pastor Robert takes us to just a few key friendship passages such as, Ecclesiastic 4:7-12, Proverbs 17:17, 18:29 and finally Jeremiah 9:23-24a which leads us to discover the one thing God says it’s ok to brag about.
