Sermons About Joseph
Dreams
Frank Capra’s 1946 Christmas Classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life†is the story of one man’s discovery. A discovery that, although he doesn’t realize it, his life has made a difference. Not everything that happened to George Bailey was good, but in the end, he discovers his life has been “Wonderfulâ€. Life may not seem too wonderful to you right now. Our country is in the midst of a war and economic crisis. On a more personal level, families are in relational turmoil, health crises and vocational uncertainty. Yet, even in these uncertain times, the Lord Jesus’ promise and provision are as strong as ever, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly†(John 10:10b).

God's Plan For Your Life
We may face many situations in our life where the outlook looks grim. We can't but help think it couldn't possibly improve when we're in it. But in situations like this, we often forget the sovereignty of God; that He is still in control. Peter uses the story of Joseph to illustrate that God is indeed in control of the circumstances and trials we endure. There is a difference between our perspective and God's perspective.

The Cupbearer and Baker
Joseph is in prison and he takes the time to notice Pharaohs baker and cup bearer. What he doesn't know is that this opportunity is going to be an open door from God to get to Pharaoh which will lead to his dream coming true. Joseph points the baker and cupbearer to the true and living God after he notices their need and takes time to help them. Like Joseph we have been called to notice peoples needs, help where we can and point all people to Jesus Christ.

WIth - With Stupid
I'm with Stupid: Your parents told you not to call anyone stupid but the truth is we all are pretty stupid when it comes to relationships. Joseph's story reminds us that God is with us and can redeem the stupid things that have been done to us and that we have done to others.
