Our God Can Do Anything
In observing Israel's crossing into the Promised Land, we learn as much about their God as we do the event. That's intentional. We are still called to trust Him.

Joshua: Courage In Leadership (Joshua 1:1-9)
Amazingly, the Bible doesn’t really show us very many of Joshua’s sins. It does show us that Joshua was a courageous leader who was willing to take risks in order to lead his people into the promised land.

What Do These Stones Mean?
Scripture: Joshua 4: 4-7 4 So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, 5 and said to them, "Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, 6 to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, 'What do these stones mean?' 7 tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever." Points: I. Past II. Present III. Future

Meditating the Word for our victory part 2
The things of God are learned a little at a time. Everything we learn either builds the foundation for something else we will learn later, or it fills in the gap of something we didn’t understand before, like the final piece to a jigsaw puzzle.

Meditating the Word for our victory part 1
Victory is promised to us by God, but there are some things that we have to do. One of which is meditating in God’s Word daily. Meditating in the Word will help us to understand and draw wisdom from the it. The more time we spend doing this, the more we’ll understand the Word, the more we understand, the more we’ll know what to do when we face challenges. Then, we will make our way prosperous and have good success. Then we will have the victory.

Faithing Your Future
Joshua was the new leader of the Israelites. He was faced with the task of leading people who had been wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. Joshua led them to cross the Jordan River and move into the land God had promised them. Thus, they had graduated from the school of "wilderness wanderings." Now, they were commencing in a new stage of life. There was joy over graduation, but anxiety over the future.

From Rags to Righteousness
The Reformation recaptured the biblical doctrine in order to recapture a biblical lifestyle. In Zechariah 3, God removes Joshua's filthy, sin-stained garments and gives him precious new garments to fulfill his vocation. This symbolizes the double transfer of justification.
