God is Just
While the justice of God is often neglected as one of His attributes, if we have experienced grace through Jesus Christ, then God's sin-destroying justice should cause us to rejoice in who He is and what He will do for His glory.

Psalm 7: Justice For All
Justice is a major theme in the Psalms. In the Psalms alone the word justice occurs 18 times and the word judge occurs 23 times and judgment 12 times. In fact, justice describes in part who God is - he is a "just and righteous" God - he is the Supreme Judge - and justice is something God loves - Psalm 97 says "righteousness and justice are the foundation of [God's] throne." Psalm 9 says The LORD is known by his justice." and Psalm 35 says "The LORD loves righteousness and justice." Righteousness and justice both flow out of his holiness. Because he is holy, holy, holy, he is incompatible with evil and therefore cannot overlook it - he must decree justice. Since God loves justice then clearly we should as well. But we have even more reason to love it - we have been saved by justice. The cross of Christ is a symbol of God's justice in action for God satisfied his divine justice and wrath in Christ. because our sins have been judged and atoned for, now God's justice guarantees our forgiveness as john says: "He is faithful and just to forgive us... You Be the Judge...What is Right?
Darcie will be speaking in the services and at Common Grounds today. Her topic: “You be the judge…. What is right?â€Â Acts 3–6. Darcie has been “serving our persecuted family with hope†as a mission representative through her work at VOM for over 9 years. She has traveled extensively, sometimes with her husband Tim, throughout the eastern region of the U.S. sharing the challenging yet encouraging message of the persecuted church. Darcie has traveled to Sudan, China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, Cuba, Myanmar, Laos, Kashmir, India, Korea and Columbia to bring help, encouragement and assistance to our family living there. She tenderly yet powerfully shares the challenging and inspiring stories and testimonies of our family in these nations. Through God’s word, she shares what this should mean to us. Although we refer to these believers as the suffering or persecuted church, Darcie communicates the rest of the story. God is at work for His eternal purposes in the lives of our brothers and sisters in these most difficult situations.
