God's Gift Exchange With Us
Miles teaches about justification; how Christ came to take our judgement in exchange for His justification. Through His justification, the relationship between God and man was restored. This was God's gift exchange with humanity.

Give Presence: Luke 11.27-28 (Peace)
I love the song "I heard the bells", especially the end when it says, "there is no peace on earth, hate is strong that mocks the song, peace on earth good will to men – then peel the bells more loud and deep, God is not dead nor does He sleep, the wrong shall fail the right prevail with peace on earth, good will to men." I long for peace. Peace in my relationshps, peace with all that is wrong, peace in the midst of suffering, peace to all our differences and above all peace with God. May you receive the peace of God and give the presence of peace this advent season.

The Magnificat
In the Second Sunday of Advent 2008, Pastor JR Vassar teaches from Mary's Magnificat (Luke 1:45-55). In this passage, Elizabeth blesses Mary, and Mary breaks out in a song of praise and thanks to God for his work for her and in her. It is a political and prophetic song with huge claims about Jesus and implications for our lives.

Preparing for Advent
What a great joy to worship alongside our brothers and sisters of Nahnum Church. As we gather today we put our focus toward preparing our hearts for Advent, which begins November 30. May we worship Jesus fully, love all, spend less and give more this season as we seek to restore the scandel of Christmas in substituting compassion for consumption.

We're Not Done with the World
God has started a movement at MISSION. Our mission is to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with Him. For us, that means defending those that are defenseless in the world of human trafficking, caring for the AIDs orphans in Malawi, showing mercy to those hurting in our community, and preaching the Gospel of God's love to all. Even though problems arise that may limit or slow this movement, we say "We're not done." Visit the campaign website at http://build.mission68.org
